Great Finds Friday: Spellbinders 3D M-Bossabilities™ Embossing Folders

Welcome to Great Finds Friday! Today we’re going to look at new 3D M-Bossabilities Embossing Folders from Spellbinders. They were a huge hit at last winter’s Craft & Hobby Association Show in Anaheim, California! Everywhere I looked, crafters and shop owners were walking around with beautiful make-n-take projects from the Spellbinders booth.

Before I tell you more about this fun, new way to emboss, I want to announce the winner of our 6/7 Great Finds Friday giveaway. The winner of the Close To My Heart new-product pack, as chosen by, is: Kailee B. Congratulations, Kailee! I will be contacting you via email for your mailing address. Thanks to Close To My Heart for sponsoring this giveaway.

Now, on to today’s featured find! 3D M-Bossabilities Embossing Folders offer crafters a realism and level of detail in their embossed creations unlike anything else offered in the market. Designs literally jump off the page and can be easily enhanced with a variety of coloring mediums, including inks, watercolor paint, pigment powders, glitter, and more. The six designs featured in this line are so striking on their own, though, that they are even stunning left in their natural state for projects from cards to scrapbook pages, gifts, and home décor. Folders measure 5”x7” and include the following designs: Basket Weave, Creative Cogs, Delightful Daisies, Framed Labels Eighteen, Ornamental Swirls, and Shell Beauty. (Look for an amazing use of the Shell Beauty 3D M-Bossabilities embossing folder by Spellbinders’ design team member Darsie Bruno in the July 18th Craft of the Day; more on that later.)

Spellbinders’ design team member Candy Rosenberg created the lovely fall frame shown below for the Spellbinders booth at CHA. I selected this piece for publication in the new Fall 2013 issue of Crafts ‘n things because it’s such a unique combination of paper crafting and photo display. (A big part of attending the CHA Show is getting a first look at new products and projects to feature in the magazine.) Candy used the Delightful Daisies embossing folder for this project and accented her embossed paper with chalk and ink before adding even more dimension with button flower centers.
