Beaded Dangle Jean Charm

Materials

  • Darice Big Clasp-Large Clasp: Silver
  • Beadalon Bead Stringing Wire
  • Blue Moon Silver Photo Frame Charm
  • Assorted beads
  • Silver crimp beads, two

Tools

  • Crimp pliers
  • Wire cutters

Basic Supplies

Directions

STEP 1

Cut 5” wire length.

STEP 2

Thread crimp bead on wire end. Thread wire end through clasp and back through crimp bead, leaving 1/2” tail. Push crimp bead close to clasp loop.

STEP 3

Squeeze crimp bead with pliers to flatten and hold wire in place.

STEP 4

String 2-1/2” of beads onto wire, ending with other crimp bead. Thread wire end through photo charm loop and back through crimp bead.

STEP 5

Use pliers to flatten crimp bead, threading wire end back through two beads. Trim excess wire.

STEP 6

Attach dangle charm onto belt loop.

Beaded Watch Jean Charm

Materials

  • Silver watch face
  • Silver butterfly charm
  • Spring bracelet wire, 14” length
  • Assorted glass and silver beads

Tools

  • Chain nose pliers
  • Wire cutters

Basic Supplies

Directions

STEP 1

Gently bend one end of wire into small loop. (This will keep beads from slipping off wire.)

STEP 2

String one bead and butterfly charm onto wire. Continue adding beads for 5” of wire length.

STEP 3

Thread watch charm onto wire length. Continue adding beads until wire length is almost covered, leaving 1/2” at end.

STEP 4

Gently bend wire end into small loop.

STEP 5

Curl wire around belt loop.

Beaded Heart Pendant

This beautiful Beaded Heart Pendant is the perfect quick-and-easy, last-minute gift idea for Valentine’s Day.

Materials

  • Red cardstock
  • Red/pink/silver micro-bead mix
  • Silver wire, 20-gauge
  • Silver jewelry findings: jump rings, two; bail; chain

Tools

  • Craft punches: heart, 2”; hole, 1/16”
  • Hammer
  • Wire cutter
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Aleene’s Crafting Adhesives: Clear Gel Tacky Glue, Paper Glaze

Basic Supplies

scissors, ruler, paintbrush, aluminum foil

Directions

STEP 1

Cut 4” cardstock square. Squeeze glaze onto foil and brush thick, even layer onto square; let dry completely. Punch two hearts from square and three hearts from remaining cardstock.

STEP 2

Punch hole at center top of each heart, aligning each heart with first for proper placement. Squeeze glue onto foil and use brush to apply to hearts; layer hearts together with glazed hearts facing outward.

STEP 3

Squeeze glaze onto top heart; sprinkle with beads. Gently press beads into glaze and tilt slightly to allow loose beads to fall away; let dry completely.

STEP 4

Use wire cutters to cut 4” length of wire for charm; fold in half and twist one side around other to create loop. Use needle-nose pliers to curl ends. Place charm onto cement surface and use hammer to flatten ends.

STEP 5

Attach jump rings and charm to pendant. Attach bail to jump ring. Insert chain through bail.

Materials

  • Glass beads: gray pearls, 8mm, 11; clear firepolish, 6mm, 20
  • Beadalon 49 Professional Series Bead Stringing Wire, .018mm, 1 yard
  • Beadalon Silver Crimp Beads: 1.3mm, 36; 1.5mm, two
  • Beadalon Silver Findings: Lobster Clasp; Extension Chain, 2″ length; Head Pins, two; Ear Wires, two

  • Crimping tool
  • Wire nippers
  • Round-nose pliers

Necklace

1. Cut wire length in half. Holding lengths together, string 1.5mm crimp bead. Thread wire ends through clasp and back through crimp bead. Use crimping tool to tighten crimp bead to secure.

2. String 1.3mm crimp bead, 1″ from one wire end. Use crimping tool to tighten crimp bead. String beads as follows: clear, gray, clear, 1.3mm crimp. Tighten crimp bead.

3. String 1.3mm crimp bead, 2-3⁄4″ from other wire end. String beaded sections, 2-3⁄4″ apart on both strands.

4. Holding strands together, string remaining 1.5mm crimp bead, 1″ from last beaded section. Thread wire ends through extension chain and back through crimp bead. Tighten crimp bead.

Earrings

1. String one gray and one clear bead onto head pin. Use round-nose pliers to bend loop after clear bead; trim wire. Attach loop to ear wire.

2. Repeat for remaining earring.

Materials

  • Silver charm bracelet, 7″ long
  • Silver/pink/green girlfriend-themed charms, nine
  • Glass beads, size E, 20 each: pink, green
  • Silver jump rings, 8mm, 29

Tools

  • Chain-nose pliers or jump ring opener 

Directions

STEP 1

Attach each charm to a jump ring. Attach jump rings evenly-spaced to bracelet links.

STEP 2

String two pink beads onto jump ring; repeat nine times.

STEP 3

Attach one beaded jump ring to second bracelet link, then connect beaded jump ring to link on right side of each charm.

STEP 4

String two green beads onto jump ring; repeat nine times. Attach beaded jump ring to link on left side of each charm.
